We ship via UPS or USPS (United States Post Office). While we do have extensive stock, some items we order as they come in and some need to be manufactured upon ordering. Semi-custom skates may take up to 7 business days to build as they are put together by hand. Full custom skates (boots made to order) can take up to 12 weeks (oftentimes less) for the manufacturer to build. Times vary by manufacturer. Please account for the wait when you order. Some items may ship earlier than others for your convenience.
Please allow 72 for processing for all orders. We may respond to you with any out of stock items in this time window and offer alternatives. Please factor this into shipping time for your items. If there is a faster way to get your items to you, such as shipping direct from a manufacturer we may choose this alternative and in some cases you will get multiple shipping notifications.
Black Friday and Holiday shipping times can be longer. We do try to get orders out for Black Friday and Holidays within 5-7 business days. Please give yourself longer shipping times to get your orders processed and shipped during this time.
If you are in a time crunch or need an order by a certain date, please contact us and we can try to expedite your order or let you know about faster shipping times available at an additional cost.
Packages shipped internationally may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, and/or fees imposed by the destination country. These charges will typically be due once the shipped goods arrive at the country of destination. Such charges are not included in the product price or shipping and handling cost. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility as we are only charging the transportation fee for your order.
Note: As of January 1, 2021 due to new shipping restrictions we are not able to ship to addresses in the United Kingdom. We hope to resolve this in the future, but in the meantime suggest that UK customers ship to any address outside of the UK, or through a forwarding company in the US.
Backordered items will ship as soon as they arrive back in stock which is usually around 2 weeks after the item is ordered but can take up to a month (or longer in some cases depending on the manufacturer). You will be notified as soon as possible if your item is on backorder and will always have the option of canceling that part of your order or changing it to a different item.
RETURNS / EXCHANGES
Most skates may be returned or exchanged for a different size or upgraded to a different skate. It's always a bummer if you get your skates and you have to exchange them for a different size, so please read this carefully - so you don't end up stuck with a pair of skates that don't fit!
- There is a 10% Restocking Fee on skates that are returned, there is no restocking fee for an exchange or a return for a store credit for future use.
- There is a 10% Restocking Fee on other returnable items that are not being exchanged.
- There is no restocking fee for exchanging items.
- Clearance items and custom skates are not eligible for return or exchange.
Unless otherwise noted on this page, or on a specific product page, most items are covered by this exchange policy. The skates, pads, helmets, etc. must be unworn and in brand-new, pristine condition in their original packaging. Pads cannot have scratches on the caps (i.e. you haven't used them for falls). We suggest trying them on at home first and if you need to try to fall on them, do so on carpet without sliding. The purchaser is responsible for all new shipping charges regardless of whether the items were originally sent with free shipping. They are also subject to a restocking fee (both of these are charged by the manufacturers/distributors...we do not make money from this!)
Return procedures must be started within 14 days of receiving your order. Items must be received by us within 30 days of sending return information (RA number generated). After 30 days we may accept a return for store credit, but it depends if the item is still current at the price you paid.
There is a $10 fee to replace damaged skate boxes or damaged packaging. Do not affix labels or shipping tape to skate boxes. Any items returned not in perfect, new, on-the-shelf condition will be not be accepted. Sorry, but there's nothing we can do with that, the manufacturers/distributors will not take them back. Try them on, but you cannot skate in them and return them so please keep that in mind. Again, one more time for the people in the back, try them on before you use them.
Items that may not be returned or exchanged unless defective:
- Custom boots and skates.
- Color upgrade boots and skates.
- Semi-custom skates we have mounted for you. (i.e. any plate that doesn't come stock on a package from a dealer, one brand boot on another brand plate).
- Size or width upgrade boots and skates.
- Special order items.
- Clearance items.
- Discontinued items.
- Socks, tights, hot pants unless in original packaging.
- Mouth guards.
- Items that clearly state in the description that they may not be returned or exchanged.
All Other Items: All items must be in excellent, like new condition, unopened and in their original packaging to be returned for an exchange or refund. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org immediately to begin the return/exchange process. After 14 days returns will not be accepted. Any items returned not in perfect, new, on-the-shelf condition will be not be accepted. As stated above, customer pays for all new shipping costs regardless of whether or not package was originally sent with free shipping. If an item comes in for return that is not in new condition, we will not process the return - we will contact the customer and the customer must pay for shipping back to them. If the customer does not pay for shipping back to them for their used items that cannot be returned they will be considered abandoned.
Exchanges follow the same policy as returns. They need to be in NEW condition (no stinky gear returns, or skates with used wheels will be accepted). You will be responsible for all new shipping fees.

Mispriced Items and Right of Refusal: We attempt to maintain the accuracy of price and information on all of our available products. However, in the event that there is an error that results in a mispriced product and/or incorrect information, Bruised Boutique reserves the right to disclaim responsibility.
Bruised Boutique shall have the right to cancel orders with incorrect prices and/or information, double discounts or any other discount misuse. We will immediately notify customers of this matter if an order is placed with incorrect pricing; and will notify the customer of any cancellation of orders, and if any payment was rendered, it will be refunded.
Please Note: Manufacturers often make running product changes throughout the year. Items may not come as pictured. Wheel graphics and colors are particularly subject to change.
